TRANSFORMING EDUCATION SUMMIT 2022: KUWAIT

Background:

This National Consultations contributes to the 2022 Education Transformation Summit led by the SecretaryGeneral in September in New York. This workshop target is to nurture the national commitment of the State of Kuwait as the national consultations aim to develop a common vision for the future of education in the State of Kuwait and activate national efforts to achieve the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The workshop included the holding of comprehensive national dialogues and consultations through the participation of stakeholders in Kuwait.

National consultations were held on the four components:

1-Ensure that the effects of the disruption to the ABCD educational process caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are completely overcome.

2-Identify key strategic shifts and existing levers to reimagine education for the twenty

3-first century and accelerate progress towards shared education goals.

4-Ensuring enhanced and sustainable public financing for education.

5-Raising the ceiling of ambition to the goals and standards of national education
