Kuwait Fund and UNDP Kuwait lead a vital session during COP28 on the Energy-Food-Water Nexus, spotlighting the Arab States. Along with a productive high-level discussion with Mr. Waleed Al-Bahar, Acting Director General of KFAED, and Dr. Abdallah Al Dardari, UNDP Assistant Secretary-General and Director of the Regional Bureau for Arab States UNDP, discussing the empowerment of our partnership, increasing of joint efforts, and humanitarian aid, while paving the way for future collaborations—aligned with Kuwait's net-zero commitment, venturing into the carbon credit market, and fostering sustainable development.

Dr. Abdallah Al Dardari emphasized the urgency of integration to tackle water scarcity, intensive energy use, and food shortages. A comprehensive panel, including H.E. Eng. Tawfeek Al Sharjabi, Minister of Water and Environment – Yemen, discussed key challenges and unveiled 'The Impact of Climate Change on Human Development in Yemen' report.

The session's outcomes: a holistic Nexus approach understanding, global awareness boost, collaborative frameworks, and actionable recommendations for resilient societies. A crucial step toward sustainable development and peace in crisis-affected areas.
