UNHCR Ramadhan Fundraising Campaign with Tanmeia Foundation

Millions of people around the world are receiving the holy month of Ramadan this year, after a long wait and with the hope that it will arrive. But this joy comes mixed with suffering and bitterness for the hundreds of thousands of refugee families who are still displaced from their homes and live in poverty and destitution.

Every donation, charity or zakat will make a difference in the lives of those in need, it will mean that a hungry child gets nutritious food, and it will mean protection and cover for a family from homelessness when the mother is able to provide shelter and warmth for her children and she is the only provider for them, it will mean care for an orphan and the holiday gift for all children. Every giving in this holy month will make the difference and provide hope in the diaries of a refugee family in need of help.

Coronavirus has left a heavy toll on all societies, and we are in desperate need of the support more than before to ensure the health and safety of refugees during the holy month. This year, the joint charitable campaign during the blessed month of Ramadan between the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Tanmeia Foundation for Rohingya Refugees Relief, which seeks to provide baskets of basic foodstuffs, water and health care, and opportunities for basic education and shelter.
