Verified/Luminate Event: Covid-19: How to prevent the pandemic becoming a media extinction

In the lead up to World Press Freedom Day on 3 May, the UN Department of Global Communications is pleased to invite you to a global panel discussion on the roles of media, technology platforms and global institutions such as the UN, one year into the COVID-19 pandemic and the “infodemic” it has fueled. 

The virtual event will feature opening statements by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and will be moderated by Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications Melissa Fleming.
