The "Keep Going Campaign" (لنستمر) is an initiative championed by Spread the Passion together in collaboration with the United Nations in the State of Kuwait, the World Health Organization and UNICEF. Supported by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, the campaign utilizes behavioral frameworks to promote positive social behavior and awareness of public health and social measures amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The Keep Going Campaign leverages the talents and skillsets of volunteers from a plethora of cultural and technical backgrounds to develop multilingual tools that support physical distancing in public places, schools and workplaces. These efforts will materialize into publications and printable items in the form of posters, slides, coloring pages in addition to animated media to ensure wide public outreach and sustainable impact.
The behavioral insights dimension of this campaign will be employed to better understand the social determinants of community behaviors. We believe that positive behavioral change can only be achieved through messaging that is appropriate to the audience and aligned with salient personal and environmental factors that motivate compliance to guidelines particularly under situations of crisis.
Aims:
- Spread a positive and optimistic message to motivate people to be productive and maintain a daily routine.
- Promote the concept of physical distancing and social bubbles between different nationalities on a local and global scale.
- Influence individuals in a positive way to raise awareness on the importance of adhering to public health measures in addition to promoting vaccine uptake and tackling the spread of misinformation
- Support the uptake of coping skills that assist individuals of all ages to adapt to the new norm, manage negative emotions and promote mental and physical wellbeing.
A survey was also launched to tackle vaccine hesitancy and generate reliable data on attitudes towards the COVID-19 vaccine, which helped boost the campaign. What are the reasons keeping you from taking #COVID19 vaccine? Your opinion counts and matters! you may access the survey here.
